Dream Big

Does anyone else dream of winning the lottery so they can take a month off from life and just knit? At this moment, my dream vacation includes long days of reading and swimming on a hot beach (with lots of readily available shade for this oh-so-flammable skin of mine) and evenings of knitting and yarn fondling. Ideally, fresh yarn and books would be delivered by Guido, my loyal cabana boy, who would also know exactly how much Dasani and Green and Black's chocolate I crave before I even know it myself.

What's your vacation fantasy?

Nice reverie! But despite somewhere warm being the logical choice atm, I would love to be on an arctic voyage, where I could see glaciers and icebergs, etc and appreciate all the amazing shades of watery bluey-green-ness. I would knit whilst I gazed in wonder, and watch the Northern Lights at night.

Nice dream J. My fantasy would involve water and a coolish warmth during the day with it cool enough to have a big fire at night....yarn and books and great food...and besides my two men, some seriously good friends (who aren't too busy with their own fantasy vacations...lol).

Well, I've done that tropical beach thing, for years as a kid, and I know now that I prefer it a little cooler! Somewhere in the Scottish highlands with a little cottage and a big fireplace, lots of green mountains and big rocks, and a loch. And sheep. Funny, I haven't lived in Scotland since I was 9, but it still feels like home!

Either back to New York (at an unurried pace) or to a small town on the Texas coast where I can get a tan, sleep in a beach house, read books and recharge my battery.

Mine includes a full time nanny so I can enjoy the kids and get alone time. Not sure I care where but there will be no cooking or cleaning for me.

Hey that's MY dream! But Cynthia's got a good one going too. I want to RETIRE ... in good health AND with money.

Sounds awesome! Me too please, especially this time of year! I love my Dad's in the Summer. Sunshine coast, right on the water, fires on the beach every night and a great big deck that looks out to sea where you can knit to your heart's desire (last year I even attended a fiber fest while I was there, does it get better?) I wouldn't mind a Guido myself (although he would proabably be a Lars, I loves me a blue eyed blond).

Sunshine. Sleep. Big bed. Did I mention sleep? Sarah's nanny so that I could get some rest and the kids would have a good time. and NO SNOW! No temperatures bellow 15 C. And a large storage shed for all of Bill's stuff. And..... A room of my own. Ahhhhhh.
